Peaceful Warrior

Installation, with sound, performance, video (Animated digital projection of blank slide projection perpetually looped, ladders, string, plastic, wood, drop ceiling panels, two hours, Nate Flagg (Artist/trained anthropologist/ghost), plastic sheeting/tent,  fake arrowheads, arrows without fletching, glow in the dark replicas of severed little girl fingers from the Dani Tribe, dead hummingbird, two-hour-long recording of the thoughts of Nate Flagg, an 80 year old Robert Gardner, Frank Zappa, circa 1985, socio-linguist Debora Tannen, ethnologist Karl Heider circa 1961, and others in the voice of the artist, accessible through headphones connected to a device connected to headphones connected to a device connected to headphones connected to the head of Nate Flagg.)

A lone ethnologist finds himself in a field site in Limbo, where he has no subjects to research. His thoughts are not always his own, and viewers can eavesdrop.
