Slang and Gull were created during an improvised dance, comprised of verbal, physical, and material conversations between two sets of lovers, responding in turn to De Vita’s repeated interventions, as she created temporary prosthetics to accommodate the dancer’s tenuous positions. The pieces sit like unused instruments in temporary postures, presuming future reuse.
