Digital print Installation, 24″ x 148″
This piece is another in the series of self-destructing Polaroids of my baby blanket. The suite of five images is comprised of three unique exposures of the blanket. The outer three images are all different moments in the “life” of one exposure; they frame two radically different images in the center.
While the baby blanket carries a literal connection to my body/identity, this particular process of dissolving it into discordant patterns of repeated imagery and installing the images as artwork on walls is really a performance of the ever-human desire to fix, possess, remember.
